Citizen Action

America has a great system of government but sometimes the people elected to represent us don't actually represent our interests. We can vote out that person or we can start a recall effort and have an election to get that person removed.

For example: Eric Maasa (D-NY) said he will vote against his district's interests.

I know a great many citizens in the U.S. feel the same way about Congress and the President. I think it is time to get some recall action going. Although it may not happen in time for a vote on health care, it will put the fear of God into politicians who only care about getting reelected. If their names appear on recall petitions they may not be so quick to vote against their constituents.
